For Parents & Childcare Providers
Children are not small adults. Their airways block faster, their pulse is checked in a different place, and the compressions that would save an adult would injure an infant. This class is built entirely around children and babies — choking, breathing trouble, febrile seizures, allergic reactions, falls and burns — with child and infant manikins for every participant. It also meets the pediatric first aid requirement most childcare licensing agencies set.

The questions we hear most often before class. If yours is not here, call us — we would rather answer it now than have you book the wrong course.
In most states this is the pediatric first aid and CPR credential licensing agencies ask for. Requirements vary, so send us your agency's wording when you register and we will confirm before you book.
The focus is children and infants. If you also need adult CPR — for example for a school or workplace requirement — we can add the adult module or combine it with our CPR & AED class.
Babies in arms are welcome and we are used to a bit of noise. Toddlers and older children are not a good fit, since the class involves extended floor work.
Exactly for you. Most participants arrive nervous. You practice on an infant manikin until the technique is in your hands, and the instructor stays with you through every repetition.
Still unsure which class you need? Call (510) 415-7963 or send us a message.
